Privacy Policy
What information is processed when you play Sunrise Valley Drive, and by whom.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you play Sunrise Valley Drive (the “Game”), published by Baseplate Interactive (“we”, “us”). We have designed the Game so that we do not operate our own game servers and do not collect personal data ourselves. The Game does use trusted third-party services (primarily Google and Cloudflare) that process limited data to provide their functionality, as described below.
- We don’t run our own game servers and don’t collect personal data ourselves.
- Signing in with Google Play Games is optional — you can play as a guest.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob; in the EEA and UK you are asked for consent first.
- You can delete your game data at any time — see Data Deletion.
Data processed by third-party services
Google Play Games Services
Sign-in, achievementsIf you sign in with Google Play Games, Google processes your Play Games player ID, display name and profile picture so the Game can show your profile and track achievements. Signing in is optional — the Game is fully playable as a guest. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Cloud saves
Google Play Saved GamesIf you are signed in, your game progress (unlocked content, points and preferences) is stored as a saved game in your own Google account, so your progress can be restored on other devices or after reinstalling. This data is not accessible to us on any server of our own.
Advertising
Google AdMobThe Game shows advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may process your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device information, coarse location and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area and the UK, you will be asked for consent via Google’s consent form before personalised ads are shown; if you decline, only limited (non-personalised) ads may be shown. You can change your choice at any time via the privacy options in the Game’s settings, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. In-app purchases
Google Play BillingPurchases in the Game are processed entirely by Google Play. We receive confirmation of your order (product and transaction ID) so we can deliver the purchased content, but we never receive your payment details. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Content delivery
Cloudflare R2When the Game downloads additional game content (such as tracks and vehicles), the files are served from content storage we host with Cloudflare. To deliver the files, Cloudflare processes your IP address and standard technical request data. We do not use this data to identify you and do not combine it with any other information. Data stored on your device
Your settings and game progress are stored locally on your device. This data does not leave your device, except as part of the cloud save functionality described above when you are signed in. Uninstalling the Game removes the local data; a cloud copy may remain in your Google account until you delete it.
Permissions
The Game requires internet access to download content, sign in, sync saves and show ads. The Game does not request access to your precise location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.
Children
The Game is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where the applicable age of digital consent in your country is higher than 13, personalised advertising is only used with valid consent obtained through Google’s consent form. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the Game, please contact us so we can help address it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because the data described above is processed by Google and Cloudflare within your own accounts and their services, the most direct way to exercise these rights is through your Google account settings and device settings. International transfers
The service providers listed above may process data on servers outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. These providers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers, as described in their own privacy policies.
Data retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the Game. Cloud saves remain in your Google account until you delete them. Data processed by Google and Cloudflare is retained according to their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when the Game adds new features. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
